Events
Since opening the shop, we have used the space for a variety of events: talks, workshops, book signings, chanting, and even the odd party thrown in! To make sure you don't miss out on future events, email us to join our low-volume email list.
On this page, we list current and forthcoming events. Please do email us if you'd like further information about any of these events.
In the archive, you can find out what we've been up to in the past.
Sunday Tea Parties 2008
We have more Sunday Tea Parties lined up for Autumn 2008.
The Cambridge Curry Club
When it seems that nothing can go wrong, everything does. Charmingly witty with wry humour and whirling rhythms, The Cambridge Curry Club is a novel to be savoured like a slow-melting bar of chocolate. Steering a new direction in postcolonial literature, The Cambridge Curry Club is set right here on Cambridge's very own Mill Road!
Saumya Balsari was born in India, has travelled widely, and now lives in Cambridge. At this tea party, she will give a brief introduction to her debut novel, read us a few excerpts, and answer questions. Informal discussion will continue over a glass of wine with spicy snacks, and signed copies of the book will be available.
This is a free event, but space in the shop is limited! Please email us or call on (01223) 412411 to be sure of a place.
Please remember that the clocks change on this day. Don't arrive an hour early!
