The various influences on Gardner are examined, including: the practises of the New Forest Coven, the ideas of Margaret Murray, Aleister Crowley and the O.T.O, the establishment of the Museum on the Isle of Man, his writing of High Magic's Aid and Witchcraft Today and the influence of Edith Woodford-Grimes (Dafo). The various versions of Gardner's Book of Shadows are examined and the significance of Gardner and his legacy in the modern world. |
